decorating with photos: a kitchen photo collage | bay area wedding photographer

sweet, sweet photo collage goodness.  if you missed last week’s real life photo collage inspiration post, go back and check it out HERE .  are you hooked?  me too.  so hooked.  and i have been for a loooooooong time.

i think i’ve mentioned it before, but what i love about the designs over at what marvelous things is that not only are they super cute and informative, but they are also great tools for any photo enthusiast.  say you just got your you annual family photos taken, and you are in LOVE with a handful of them.  you know you want them up on your wall, but you’re not really sure how to get them up there or what they’ll look like once they’re next to one another.  well….these designs come as flattened jpegs as well as fully layered psd files which  means you can actually plug your OWN photos into those frames and see what they’ll look like not only next to one another, but also enlarged to a specific size.  which also means you can do your rearranging on a computer screen instead of on your walls.

as you can see, the wall color is also fully customizable.  because, while that lime green looks smashing on screen and helps those frames pop, YOUR kitchen may not be that color.  so we swapped it out for a basic gray, and then updated it with a few of my own family from the past few years.  pretty rad, right?  i only wish i would have seen these little design templates sooner as i could have prevented A LOT of unnecessary nail holes in my freshly painted walls.  oh well, you live & learn, right?

Loveeeee these. (I am tooting my own horn, but I do.) I think the next batch I’ll make with photo mats, too- just to give it a more realistic edge.
